Post #2: What is a Book?

A  book is an escape to a different reality.  You can feel characters emotions, see what they see, smell, hear, and touch what they touch all by how the author describes it.  To some people, the way a book feels and smells adds to the experience of reading a book and makes it more interesting. 

For example, the book i am currently reading, Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children, the author paints the picture by using pictures from old circus posters to help visualize the characters in the home that have special talents. although they aren't edited very well, it helps you visualize them and imagine the story in your head better.  The pictures in the book make it more interesting because when he describes what the people are doing, like making trees grow, you can visualize it in your head.
